On falling in love with Ilana and Abbi.

I could not scroll down my Tumblr dashboard without seeing a gif of this new comedy series on Comedy Central called Broad City. I was like, “wtf is this show, I need to know what the hype is about!” My curiosity is the main driving force in any decision I make. So naturally, I searched the internet relentlessly for the episodes online. When I watched the first episode, I chuckled a bit. It was funny, no doubt, but I didn’t think it was amazing until I binge-watched the whole season and found a new fandom. (Haha kudos to me for using fandom in a sentence.) I went on a 3 hour Broad City bender and found myself cackling underneath my covers and latched onto my laptop.

There were so many episodes and scenes that had me crying of laughter; that’s when I knew it was really funny. There were times that I thought I was going to throw up because I was laughing so hard. Broad City is basically what Girls wishes it could be; so smart and funny without being pretentious. I found it so easy to relate to Ilana and Abbi because they depict what it’s like to be a 20-something in this day and age. So think of Broad City as kind of a Girls on steroids and crack but a millions times better and funnier.
These jewesses, as they like to call themselves, are piss-your-pants funny. The best part about their funniness, is that they are truly genuine and it shows. But wait, how do you know that Caroline? You might ask. Well, they had their show Broad City on YouTube way before it got picked up for TV and their blooper reels reveal how amazing and true to their personalities they are.

Their relationship on the show is adorable. It makes me want to go and hug my best friend. It makes me want to call her up and tell her how awesome she is. It’s really refreshing to see this sort of female dynamic because shows like Gossip Girl and even Girls portrays broken relationships and theirs is simple.

I don’t know, I’m not done fangirling so this probably doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
The whole point of this post was to get you all to watch it! Because it is amazing and funny as fuck.

Now go!
